Contemporary means of the moment, now, living, alive. Mercer by Bernhardt meets that definition.

Mercer is bold artistic fashion for living spaces. Think color-blocking for home, black being the color. The collection includes 64 skus of moderate scale for the entire home, with minimalist and Asian Modern references.

Designs are built in flat cut cathedral ash veneers. The surface appearance is softened by wire-brushing to highlight and deepen the grain. An alluvial Java finish with a high-touch silky surface completes the effect.

Earthy accents include:

  • Solid steel bases in a textured finish enhance the collection's contemporary look and sleekly modern feel.
  • Dark heathered/felted grey fabric and buttonless tufting on upholstered items
  • Industrial blackened nickel in hardware, and textured solid steel for bases.

Mercer Panel Bed With Screens 339-H66/FR66. Clarity and Calm - Architecture is the story in this modern upholstered panel bed with side screens. Historic Asian references but in a bit more modern silhouette and tailoring. Straight masculine lines give strength, but- tonless tufting gives softness - yin and yang. Create an entire bedroom from a blank space with just these pieces and perhaps a pair of comfy lounge chairs. W1581/4 D881/4 H561/2 in. Bed also available as a standalone.

Mercer Nightchest 339-230. Structured - Simplicity of line and tactile good looks. Built in flatcut ash veneers with an earthy Java finish. Textured nickel hardware is large enough to provide a nice handhold. Two drawers, open shelf. This is modern design people can live with, understand, depend upon, and come back to again and again. W32 D18 H273/4 in.

Mercer Round Dining Table 339-272/273. Blackened Steel - Sophisticated wood top with wirebrushed textured effect, silky surface and deep Java finish. Flatcut ash veneers. Blackened solid steel base. W54 D54 H30 in, expands to 72 dia. with one leaf.

Mercer Cocktail Table 339-011. Modern Ming - This large scale table sits at a very low angle, Ming style. Floating top, block foot. Flatcut ash veneers with a textured grain, silky surface, and alluvial Java finish. W48 D48 H17 in.
