Beverly Brooks promoted to National Sales Manager for Residential Division
June 4, 2009 - LENOIR, NC - Bernhardt Furniture has promoted Beverly Brooks to a newly created position, National Sales Manager for Residential Sales. Brooks joined Bernhardt in 1976 in the Residential Customer Service Department. She has held a number of key positions within the company including Furniture Design Administrator and Director of Gallery Store Development. Most recently, as Director of National Retail Sales & Development, she has been responsible for growing sales with large and small dealers within the residential division.
In her new post, she will focus primarily on opening new accounts, growing key specialty and national accounts and assist in directing the efforts of the residential sales force. Reporting to Alex Bernhardt, Jr., President of Bernhardt Residential, she will be responsible for sales of both residential casegoods and upholstery working closely with key management in each division. The promotion signifies the success Brooks has had in helping to grow and shape the sales initiatives at Bernhardt.

Continuing the tradition of family involvement for which Bernhardt is known, Brooks is the third generation of her family to have served Bernhardt. Her father, John B. Smith, Jr., retired after 38 years of service to the company.
