LENOIR, NC, April 7, 2008 — Echoing today’s continuing trend towards calm, uncluttered interiors, Bernhardt introduces 45 fabric and 20 leather skus of smart and soothing upholstered seating that bridges the gap between traditional and contemporary.
“Our lives are so busy and full of information,” says Heather Eidenmiller, director of brand development. “People want their homes to be easy to live with, more relaxing, a place where they can clear their minds – but never dull. That is exactly what we believe we are offering in our new upholstery.”
To achieve a calm and chic modern effect, frills are minimized, frames pared down, lines refined. Visual interest is achieved with creative twists on classic forms, smart tailoring, and by using pillows and welts to layer subtle textures of all kinds – linen effects, velvets, tweeds, multi-weaves, suedes, and leathers. Colors are soothing and natural throughout.

Corday Sectional B34. Truly versatile, this highback sectional is both traditional and modern. The clean, strong silhouette looks great from any angle. Shown in a mushroom color deep-cut chenille with sage and chocolate velvet toss pillows, sabre foot. Four pieces.
