The Comfort And Warmth of European Style Re-imagined in Normandie Manor by Bernhardt

LENOIR, NC, October 17, 2009 — When it comes to comfort, it is hard to beat the warm, rich, relaxed furnishings of classic French, English, and Italian country homes.

Today Bernhardt introduces the Normandie Manor Collection, composed of richly toned woods and iconic pillared or arched European shapes. Basket weave veneer patterns, diamond-tufted upholstery, and sculptural turnings add interest to the collection which is, above all, relaxing and comfortable.

Designs in the 36-piece whole-home collection are grandly scaled, as appropriate for an open floor plan. The collection is built in pine solids and veneers and walnut veneers, with a deep, soft Caffe Brown finish that appears to have been cared for by the generations. A Black Forest accent finish gives select pieces a two-tone effect. Aged bronzed accents, antiqued leather with nailhead trim, and acid-washed St. Laurent marble add textural interest.

Normandie Manor Gathering Table 317-950/951 - A pedestal cabinet displays wine storage racks (removable). Two different sized drawers are accessible from both sides of the table. Open shelving, scrolled apron on the top shelf. The tabletop features dramatic basket weave patterns of pine and walnut veneer. Caffe Brown finish. Normandie Manor Upholstered Panel Bed (King) 317-HFR09 - An impressive and inviting style statement. Arched and scrolled crown molding, tufted antiqued leather upholstery on the headboard. Capped square pillars, blocked foot, deep moldings on the footboard. Pine veneers, Caffe Brown finish. W86.5 D93 H77.25, suggested retail $1900. Also available: Normandie Manor Tufted Bench, over-scaled turnings on the leg.

Normandie Manor Flip-Top Table 317-916 - True to its English heritage. Sculptural turned supports and stretcher, soft scrolling apron. The top features basket weave veneer patterns and two folding hinged sections, with wide overhang when opened. Work's as a console and for small area dining.W66 D20 H31 (D40 opened), suggested retail $712.
