LENOIR, NC, October 17, 2009 — Today BERNHARDT INTERIORS introduces fashion-forward bedroom and dining room furniture into its program of timeless designer looks.
The now whole-home program debuts 53 new SKUs – upholstery, casegoods, and accents – with crisp construction, luxe surfaces, and an unstudied collected look usually found only in closed showrooms and at much higher prices.
Design-inspired bedroom and dining room casegoods feature clean architectural shapes with minimal ornamentation. Substantial cabinet shapes are lightened with faux limestone finishes and fanciful mirror glazing patterns. The larger scaled BERNHARDT INTERIORS casegoods pair well with the more moderately scaled upholstery in the program, as befitting a high-end design aesthetic.
Four new wood finishes are offered: Obsidian, an ebonized finish on flat-cut cherry veneer; Umber, a distressed midtone on solid woods; Limestone, a faux finish on maple; and Nutmeg, a midtone on quartered cherry veneer.
Upholstered seating and dining chairs are customizable in BERNHARDT INTERIORS leathers and fabrics – largely linen and cotton blends in a muted palette – or customers own material (COM) and a variety of mini and full-size nailheads. Upholstered designs are architecturally pure,well-tailored, and suitable for placing anywhere in the home. Fully-upholstered beds – also customizable – include five new twin sizes and one new shapely crowntop bed.
Occasional pieces – from simple nesting tables to extravagant sculptural forms – provide fresh modern glamour. Accent materials include large surfaces of antiqued mirror, abalone shell mini-tiles, silvery pewter metals, lightly scored limestone, reclaimed elm, and cast iron.
