April 17, 2010 - LENOIR, NC - Fromindie art to iPhone apps and ga-ga partywear, shoppers are directing more of their carefully curated purchases toward highly individualized design that is affordable, easy to buy and quickly delivered. In furniture design, personalization and high design are usually restricted to closed showrooms with high-end prices and long delivery schedules. But no longer.
This spring Bernhardt is expanding BERNHARDT INTERIORS – a fashionforward program of collected designer looks – high-fashion casegoods and occasional accents, plus customizable upholstered seating and beds – all at modest prices and delivered within three weeks of order.
“Our specialty retail and interior design partners are relaying three consumer requests they are hearing over and over – ‘custom,’ ‘affordable,’ and ‘now,’ ” says Heather Eidenmiller, director of brand development. “With customizable fabrics on seating, dining chairs and upholstered beds, plus surprising low prices for a high-design aesthetic usually confined to closed showrooms, we think BERNHARDT INTERIORS is one of our most responsive and innovative collections to date.”
At High Point Market April 17-21, the company is introducing 20 new skus of casegoods/occasional and 55 new upholstered seating and bed designs into the program.
New design materials include parchment patterned leather, crushed limestone, hand-hammered blackened metal, galvanizedmetal and onyx.
BERNHARDT INTERIORS designs are showcased in the Bernhardt showroom, IHFC Building, Design Center 6th floor, 210 East Commerce Street, High Point NC. Media appointments are available by emailing tammiking@bernhardt.comor phoning 828-759-6535. Drop-ins welcome.
