House Beautiful October 2011

Bernhardt Interiors Quentin Dining Table

Food Network star Tyler Florence launched his culinary career in some of New York City's most renowned restaurants. So when he built his dream kitchen this year, it's somehow fitting that he built it in the heart of Rockefeller Center — right where the iconic New York City Christmas tree stands each year.

Florence partnered with House Beautiful Magazine and their sponsors, including Bernhardt Interiors, to design the 2011 Kitchen of the Year. And when looking for a dining table to bring
warmth, style and durability to his kitchen, Bernhardt Interior's very own brand new Quentin Dining Table was the perfect choice.

Florence envisioned his spacious 2,500 square-foot galley-style kitchen as a true living space – where everyone in the family can prepare food and enjoy spending time together. "The kitchen is really the room people want to live in now" said Florence. Chosen personally by Florence, the Quentin Dining Table brings a sophisticated simplicity to the kitchen space that can be enjoyed every day by the entire family. The hand-hammered stainless steel top with its distressed surface is very forgiving – so cars, dolls and board games are just as welcome as elegant china and fine wine glasses. The stainless steel table top also keeps the room warm and bright by reflecting light back into the space and sits on a trestle-style stretcher base made of solid Mindi wood in a sandblasted driftwood finish.

Florence's kitchen was taken down in August and the products and building materials were donated to ReStore Habitat for Humanity. But you can still own a piece of the dream kitchen by looking for the Quentin Dining Table at retailers later this fall – just in time for the holidays.
