Keeper’s Bookcase

The Keeper’s Bookcase is inspired by a late 19th-century, American Empire Revival bookcase located in the office of the Keeper of the Castle Collection. The Keeper is the person who curates the artifacts in the Castle, the original museum building completed in 1855. The pin knotty cherry bookcase, shown in a Castle Brick finish, features scrolled front feet and three adjustable shelves for holding collectibles, books and other valuables. The tracery treatment on the bookcase’s glass doors is evocative of the Castle's late Romanesque and early Gothic motifs.
